Electrical Apprentice

GENERAL SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Journey Electrician, the Electrical Apprentice is an entry level field position learning to perform a wide variety of hands on troubleshooting, construction, maintenance and installation work for projects and task assigned.

CORE SCOPE OF POSITION

• Performs basic electrical tasks throughout the casino and other related properties as needed,

• Uses hand and power tools, electrical tool and test equipment to perform job duties.

• Roughs in and trims out Tenant Improvements (Ti's) to build outs and other spaces.

• Replaces lamps and repairs/installs various lighting fixtures and lighting systems.

• Performs basic housekeeping duties including handling materials, keeping parts and tool storage organized.

• Maintains current inventories and delivers parts and supplies to the Journey Electrician.

• Maintains knowledge of and effectively promotes company services and players' club program.

• Attends all scheduled team member meetings and trainings.

• Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.

• Adheres to all hygiene and safety standards. Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

• High school diploma, GED, vocational training or the equivalent experience is required.

• Enrolled in the ABC, WECA or other accepted electrical Apprentice Training Program with good standing.

• Complete Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program in 3 years required.

• Valid California Driver's License preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• Must be 21 years or older.

• Basic knowledge and electrical experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Good organization skills and detail oriented.

• Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of materials, tools, and equipment used to perform job duties.

• Ability to work independently with little or no instructions.

• Ability to work cooperatively with diverse culture, work groups, and across the organization.

• Ability to adapt well to changes in assignments and priorities.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
