Electrical Apprentice - Primoris Industrial & Civil

Primoris Industrial & Civil is seeking an Electrical Apprentice for a project in Hastings, Nebraska. This project is expected to last until the end of 2024. Proposed work schedule is five days a week, with 10-hour shifts daily (Mon to Fri), with more days/hours possible. If you have 2+ years of commercial experience and knowledge of bending pipe, pulling wire, and other electrical-related duties, this opportunity could be a great fit for you! This role qualifies for per diem when per diem requirements are met!! Candidates must successfully pass a craft test, drug screen, physical, and a background check to be considered for this position.

SUMMARY

The Electrical Apprentice assists electricians by performing tasks under the direct supervision of experienced electricians.

JOB DUTIESs

• Assists electricians by performing tasks under direct supervision

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OSHA standards

• Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings

• May perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• One (1) to four (4) years of experience as an apprentice or journeyman electrician

• Must complete work accurately and follow all safety rules

• Must be familiar with relevant hand and power tools

• Able to work well in a team environment

• Organized and self-motivated

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must comply with company's drug and alcohol abuse policy.

• Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.

• Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.

• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).

• Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.

• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.

• Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)
