Description:
This grant-funded position will act as a liaison with community service providers, educators, and health providers for students, advocate for the rights, strengths, and needs of the students, encourage student self-sufficiency, document all case management activities, and respect the students' rights and confidentiality. The primary purpose of the program is to assist pregnant, custodial, and non-custodial young parents, under age 22, to obtain a high school diploma or its equivalent. The goal is to assist eligible pregnant and parenting youth to remain in school, maintain regular attendance, obtain a high school diploma or high school equivalent certificate, and secure post-graduation employment, education, or training that will help them become successful parents and self-sufficient adults.
Qualifications:
HS Diploma / GED required; Bachelor's degree, preferred
Experience working with pregnant and parenting youth, preferred
Previous experience working with community and/or social service agencies, preferred
Previous experience in case management, preferred
Terms: Full-time, 220 days, 8 hrs/day
Salary: Recruiter pay scale - Minimum $17.84/hr, plus excellent benefits.
