Elasticsearch - Reliability Engineer

Overview

SIG is currently looking for an Elasticsearch - Reliability Engineer to join our Monitoring, Management and Automation team in our Bala Cynwyd, PA office.

This team is responsible for developing our enterprise wide system and software management tools. This is a small and agile team that is working with and extending open source technologies such as Elasticsearch, Grafana, Nagios, and Ganglia along with vendor systems like JIRA Service Desk.

You'll be responsible for creating, deploying and supporting systems which monitor and manage network devices, servers, applications, and real-time network traffic. You will also work on projects to automate and improve our existing monitoring and alerting tools.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline or its foreign equivalent plus 3 years of progressive experience in distributed systems development, systems administration, networking and/or operations

• Experience working with Elasticsearch and other monitoring frameworks

• Scripting experience (Python preferred) and server deployment tools experience is required

• Experience in Windows or Linux systems administration - work in a medium to large-enterprise server environment is a plus
