Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as EKG Technician Internship in Omaha, NE.

Perform adult and pediatric EKGs, specialty EKG, apply Holter monitors and cardiac event recorders. Directly interact with patients, nurses, staff, and physicians. Transcribe test results into hospitals Electronic Health Record (EHR).

• 36 hours per week

• 3x12s, 6:00pm

• 6:00am

Required Qualifications: EKG Technician Internship

• High school education or equivalent required.

• Ability to work on call required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later)

• Completion of internal training program within 6 months of hire required.

• Be prepared to test into and qualify for a Non-Invasive Cardiac Tech Role within 6 months of hire required.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications: EKG Technician Internship

• Two years' experience in EKG preferred.

• Medical experience preferred

• College courses in physiology, anatomy, and/or related subjects preferred.

• Associate of Science degree preferred.

• Graduate of an accredited school of allied health/technology preferred.
