• Position Summary

• The EKG technician is responsible for performing Electrocardiograms when requested by a physician as a written order or as part of an approved protocol. EKG technicians are also required to perform Treadmill testing, as requested by a physician as a written or as part of an approved protocol. He/she promotes patient safety; assist Cardiologists/ Physician Assistant in procedures and maintains EKG/Treadmill equipment according to manual.

• Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent

• License/Certifications: BLS certification required

• Experience: N/A
