Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic testing including 12 Lead EKG's
Ability to maintain and organize paperwork associated with all EKG diagnostic testing.
Responsible for presenting a caring and professional attitude at all times and strives to perform all other job duties and responsibilities to meet the needs and expectations of all UT Health Tyler customers.
Ability to utilize the MUSE system.
Cleans and maintains medical equipment within the department.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations.
Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols
Ensures the safety and comfort of patients
Willingly shares knowledge and provides clinical orientation to other members of the staff
Has a basic understanding of normal cardiac rhythms and life threatening arrhythmias.
Responds to code 44's as required
Adapts and adheres to facility policies and procedures
Communicates and reports to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with hospital policy
Delivers age appropriate care for patient population
Preserves and protects patient confidentiality in all situations and with all documentation
Maintains consistent and reliable attendance and complies with UT Health guidelines on attendance
Demonstrates professionalism by being punctual and dependable for assigned shifts.
Maintains all annual education requirements including Medelearn and Apex.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Previous EKG experience is desirable
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Previous experience in a hospital setting is desirable
