Description: To assist Instructional Interventionist and school level personnel in providing supplementary early intervening supports and services to regular education students at risk of being referred to special education.

Job Summary:

• Works directly with principals to plan and conduct training sessions for school personnel.

• Provides Early Intervening Services and collaborative assistance to Instructional Interventionists and school level personnel.

• Collects and analyzes data related to academic and behavioral interventions provided by Instructional Interventionists engaged in Early Intervening Services in compliance with the district Response to Intervention policy.

• Evaluates effectiveness of instructional strategies used by Instructional Interventionist- Monitor tutoring program.

• Assists Instructional Interventionist and school personnel in the collection, monitoring and reporting of student performance- Data Collection.

• Develops a tracking system to document services for all students receiving Early Intervening Services and completes mandated Early Intervening Services Report-RTI Tier Logs.

• Documents Tier 2 and Tier 3 data; monitors compliance of school level documentation of all tier levels.

• Coordinates with Pupil Appraisal in maintaining Special Service guidelines and compliance.

• Provides school=wide and /or grade level workshops on pre-referral intervention strategies and information regarding pertinent aspects of disproportionality.

• EIS person at the assigned schools assist with implementation of the Response to Intervention program, according to district policy.

• Develops and implements a Professional Growth Plan.

• Assess performance through an annual self-evaluation.

• Continues professional growth through conventions, conferences and seminars, meetings, webinars, and personal study.

• Assumes other related responsibilities as assigned by the Special Services Supervisor, Director of Federal Programs, and the Superintendent.

• Maintains an EIS/RTI log for each school assigned.

• Reports school data to district level EIS personnel at the end of each 9wk reporting period.

• Ensures parent contact at each Tier

• Ensures parent progress reporting at the end of each 9wk reporting period.

• Can assist with other related duties at schools as EIS schedule permits.

Qualifications: Early Childhood or Elementary Teacher Certified

Working Conditions: Will work at both the Breaux Bridge Primary and Breaux Bridge Elementary schools.?
