Summary:
VCU's School of Education (SOE) seeks EI/ECSE Research Assistants who embrace diversity, equity and inclusion and will contribute to a climate that supports students, faculty, and staff of all identities and backgrounds. The Research Assistant will support research activities related to studies examining systems that support young children with disabilities, as well as the family, child, and professional experience working within those systems.
Specific duties may include:
Maintaining and updating records related to phases in multiple research projects.
Organizing data in a digital platform.
Reading and synthesizing literature to support projects.
Participating in data analysis with other members of the research team.
Collaborating with multiple team members.
Assisting with videotaping research study visits.
Writing portions of articles related to research projects.
Preparing materials for university, participants, and consumers highlighting findings or to use in professional development settings.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Experience in early childhood, special education, disability studies, or related field
Organized work style and responsive to deadlines
Flexible schedule
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree
Research experience
Work experience with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers with disabilities
