We are currently looking for an E&I Specialist/Sr. E&I Specialist for our Greenville, MS office.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily activities related to Electrical, Controls and Automation for the assigned area including, but not limited to, performing all required installation, operation, testing, maintenance and repair of Electrical and Instrumentation equipment. You will regularly lead projects and have responsibility and authority to make decisions about equipment and will be expected to participate in the on call duties of the area and respond to "call-outs". You will be required to fill in for the Area Manager, as necessary and will demonstrate an ongoing proficiency in leadership and interpersonal skills. Your responsibilities also include compliance documentation for assigned area and the successful completion of all the Operator Qualification tasks assigned specifically for this position.
This position will be located at our Greenville, MS Compressor Station and may occasionally assist other areas with E&I work.
This position's primary area of responsibility will be at our Greenville Compressor Station and the successful candidate will be required to reside within 30 miles of this facility.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of experience on pipeline operating systems and DOT 192 knowledge and experience in compliance as well as a basic understanding of Electricity and Instrumentation
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel as well as strong critical thinking and problem solving skills and a strong ability for prioritizing and scheduling multiple projects
Experience with Microsoft programs as well as the ability to read, comprehend, and follow Company procedures and manufacturers guidelines
Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet in order to transfer tools and equipment, the ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns, and the ability to work alone as required in extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy, and wet environments
Valid driver's license with safe driving record and the ability to operate an all-terrain vehicle
Strong commitment to personal and team safety
High school diploma
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Gas pipeline or compressor maintenance experience
Technical school or college
