EH&S professionals are responsible for driving continuous improvement to ensure compliance with applicable law and Pentair standards in a manufacturing environment.
EH&S Professionals use structured problem solving to identify improvement actions for safety incidents or near misses; review investigation of accidents/incidents and follow up to ensure completion of recommendations; complete root-cause analyses and develop corrective action plans to address root basic causes; identify unsafe equipment operation and conditions while demonstrating knowledge of appropriate corrective action for unsafe conditions or equipment use; provide technical and regulatory expertise to ensure occupational health, safety and environmental compliance at the site; maintain records and prepare documentation for agencies such OSHA, EPA and FDEP; provide leadership for the site to foster a positive safety culture; implement new or revised processes to meet Pentair Integrated Management System requirements; facilitate communication with associates to ensure proper issue resolution and engagement in the site EH&S program; facilitate site ZeroWaste programs and partner with leadership team and corporate EH&S on sustainability initiatives. Bachelor's Degree in EH&S or related field of study from a recognized institution
0 to 5 years of experience with responsibilities in a manufacturing, building trades and/or construction work environment
Demonstrated experience with OSHA regulation compliance in a manufacturing environment
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Able to make decisions and be a self-starter
Able to work in a team environment
Capable of conducting hazard and risk management assessments
Knowledge of corporate, federal and state EH&S policies, rules and standards
