Specific Responsibilities

The EH&S Specialist Sr

• Environmental Policy for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache's EH&S team at the company's Houston, TX office reporting to the EH&S Manager

• Environmental.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

• Deep understanding of federal, state and local legislative procedures and protocols

• Capable of analyzing new and existing environmental regulations to identify potential impacts to the company

• Engaged with industry organizations such as API, AXPC, TXOGA, and PBPA to review rulemaking and develop company responses

• Partner with internal operations to gain understanding of concerns with new regulatory policies

• Monitor and implement industry best practices into company standards

• Work with key multifunctional stakeholders within the organization to mitigate impacts of regulatory changes

• Tracks, interprets and documents laws or regulations impacting the business

• Build and maintain relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders

• Experienced with executing current policies in the oil and gas industry such as OOOOb/c, GHG Subpart W, BLM, ESA, CAA, CWA, Ozone Precursor etc.

• Develop and implement training to relevant stakeholders

• Develop presentations and materials to communicate new policies to senior personnel

• Effectively communicate across a broad spectrum of functions and levels of leadership

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelors degree required

• 6+ years of experience

• Able to prioritize work tasking;

• Strong communication skills with others;

• Able to collaborate across functional peer group;

• Proficient knowledge of Spotfire, MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word;

• System analytics reporting experience.
