EHS Specialist - Sales & Service

Spirax Sarco seeks an exceptional EHS Specialist to collaborate and support with Sales and Service leadership to engage employees in environment, health, and safety excellence. The EHS Specialist will be highly engaged in building relationships with both office and desk-free employee populations along with a large remote sales staff. Support EHS Manager in planning, strategy, and day-to-day aspects of EHS or Sales and Service teams.

Job Functions:

• Responsibility for Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability performance, strategic agendas, their management systems, and related performance indicators

• 30%

• Provide both remote and on-site support to Sales and Service teams, including contractors, during routine activities and projects. Responsibility for customer site EHS compliance and best practice

• 30%

• Responsibility for Contractor Management and 3rd party compliance systems

• 15%

• Coordinate EHS related training and employee site readiness 15%
• Responsibility for EHS contributions to regional, monthly, and annual sales/service meetings

• 10%

Responsibilities:

• Work with management and staff to fully enable each team member to problem solve, follow best practice, and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with Operations leadership and Project Managers to provide EHS support and engagement.

• Responsibility for EHS metrics associated to Sales and Service; leading and lagging indicators. Responsibility for related tracking and recordkeeping.

• Champion Behavior Based Safety, Risk Management, and Incident Management.

• Become subject matter expert and administrator in EHS platforms (EcoOnline, COMET, etc.)

• Maintain 3rd party compliance systems (ISNetworld, Avetta, DISA, OSCA/ASAP, etc.).

• Assist with accident investigations, environmental incidents, and near-misses, ensuring effective root cause and corrective actions are identified and completed.

• Responsibility of EHS compliance for contractors including qualification and auditing.

• Oversee EHS training; develop, deliver, track, and audit in a proactive manner. (Company and customer specific, Basic+, new hire orientation, etc.)

• Development and implementation of site, pre-job safety protocol and related documentation

• Support development of policies, procedures, and standard work to clearly communicate requirements and best practice.

• Support company sustainability agenda for Carbon Net Zero, water conservation, and Zero Waste to Landfill.

• Support of ISO 14001 and 45001 management systems.

• Responsibility for related EHS Compliance Obligations and Group Excellence Framework.

• Work to understand market and customer industries to provide proactive support of business objectives.

• Assist Human Resources with Worker's Compensation and employee return to work.

• Responsibility for OSHA recordkeeping.
