The Infrastructure Construction Management team builds the data centers that are the foundation upon which our software operates with efficient ease. Building and operating data centers the "right" way from the day they go live is synonymous with ensuring capacity availability and capital conservatism. Architecting, constructing, operating and continually innovating the telecommunications and structured cabling infrastructure within our data centers is fundamental to ensuring high availability, the capacity to meet our extreme growth demands and obtaining the most robust and cost effective online service in the world! The successful candidate will service multiple projects on an on-going basis and provide loss control management oversight to the internal and external teams building our projects. However, the project locations will be spread across the EMEA region. Managing stakeholders located across all regions is a significant challenge and is key to the success of our projects.This position is full-time and located in our Dublin Headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Creation, development and implementation of a Construction Loss Control Program to enhance our safety and risk management program for related to our on-going build program in EMEA.

  • Coordinate and provide direction, training and mentoring to on site construction teams and internal Facebook stakeholders to implement effective safety methodologies

  • Perform risk assessments on new construction and retrofit projects including generation of safe work execution plans.

  • Collaborate with our General Contractors to monitor the safety programs on projects sites and maintain a good working relationship to facilitate zero incidents.

  • Facilitate incident investigation, root cause analysis and reporting for corrective actions.

  • Work in conjunction with Construction Loss Control Program Manager in US and our corporate risk manager to ensure the construction insurance programs reflect the appropriate risk tolerance level for the company.

  • Be actively engaged in maintaining cross functional relationships to foster cooperation and enhance safety endeavors

  • Coordination of FM Global review and site visits to ensure consistency across that program.

  • Ensure internal processes are followed and align expectations early on delivery timelines.

  • In conjunction with Construction Management and other Regional Management teams, develop robust safety processes and standards to enable efficiency and effectiveness along with leading effective cross-functional communications.

  • Work in conjunction with the team's Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to understand the safety and quality control impacts of new designs, materials and construction methods.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Occupational Health, Safety & Welfare or equivalent Health and Safety degree from an accredited university and/or minimum of ten (10) years professional experience in construction industry mainly focused on Health and Safety.

  • Experience working with EU building codes and health & safety regulations.

  • Certifications recognized by Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH), the British Safety Council or other institutions well known and respected in the construction industry.

  • Experience working within an OCIP environment.

  • Demonstrated success in implementation of Environmental Health & Safety enhancement programs.

  • Proven ability to partner with team members and contractors to implement change.

  • Must hold sufficient industry knowledge to understand the design and deployment of technical electrical and mechanical systems as related to data center construction processes.

  • Strong understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry, including knowledge of fast-track design-build process and associated documents and contracts.

  • Familiar with ground-up construction and greenfield site development requirements.

  • Familiar with retrofit projects in live mission-critical environments or occupied spaces.

  • Must have strong written and verbal communications/reporting skills.

  • Must be proficient with MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Considerable (30%) travel within EMEA and occasional travel to US Headquarters are required.

VIEW JOBS 9/14/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-12-13T00:00 Job Description Requisition ID: 005182 Position Summary: We are seeking a Regional Distribution Operations Manager who will be responsible for the day to day operations and performance of our 650,000 square foot main distribution/consolidation center in Dublin, Virginia, and provide guidance and support to secondary distribution centers and warehouses. Lead a team of over 85 distribution center associates in all general distribution related activities such as order processing, receiving, picking, customer service, inventory control, staffing, inbound/outbound transportation, facilities management, scheduling, and load planning. Provide direction, planning and motivation to reach the highest levels of service while keeping expenses aligned with corporate objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Manage Distribution Center warehouse and consolidation operations. Support other Distribution Centers, manufacturing facilities, and warehouses to ensure success of the overall supply chain. * Provide direction, motivation, and support directly to a diverse management team. Foster a hands-on management style through leading by example. * Perform daily load planning and scheduling for inbound and outbound shipments, ensure outbound freight is tendered. Manage daily labor demand planning to balance warehouse workload between activities such as receiving, picking, and loading. * Maximize outbound wholesale shipments to drive revenue and exceed monthly goals, while complying with Sarbanes-Oxley and internal auditing controls. Responsible for Profit and Loss results through monitoring and acting to influence outcomes; partner with Corporate Accounting to action other financial directives. * Manage relationships with third party transportation partners such as domestic truckers, rail carriers, international freight forwarders, and various LTL providers to reduce transit damage and maintain service levels for all shipments. * Provide excellent customer service, problem solving, and communication between company departments, divisions, and external customers. * Maintain the integrity of the inventory through adhering to inventory control guidelines, managing OS&D, and reducing inventory variances. Monitor storage capacity levels and ensure products are safely stored at all times. Ensure that distressed inventory and freight claims are followed through to resolution. * Develop standards, routines, and cross training programs to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the operations. * Review and assist VP Logistics with negotiating domestic freight agreements and carrier selection. * Maintain focus on employee relations, training, cost reduction, safety, continuous improvement, service level objectives, and staff skill levels. * Manage EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) programs that meet state and federal guidelines as directed by corporate. Comply with all C-TPAT certification requirements. * Implement and maintain maintenance programs for all equipment, vehicles and the facilities. * Assist with engineering new facilities and implementing operational flow to support overall Distribution operations. Job Requirements Knowledge, skills, and abilities: * Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain, or logistics related field required with a minimum of eight years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution environment * Minimum of five years at a Distribution Center management level. * Excellent communication (verbal and written), leadership, organization, customer service, time management, and interpersonal skills required. * Must be detail oriented and organized, with the ability to multi-task. * Analytical skills required, including frequent problem solving. * Excellent computer skills, including Outlook and Excel. Extensive experience using ERP systems and barcode processing for order and inventory management; AS/400 (JD Edwards) operating system is highly desired. * The ability to travel up to 20% visiting other distribution centers, warehouses, and headquarters.
