This position will serve as a contracted employee who will work as a vendor onsite at a prominent

search engine company, supporting the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department. Your primary function will be supporting the EHS Strategic Operations team by focusing on and

completing work streams specific to Global Construction topics; completing various projects associated with the documentation of programs/processes being developed by the Google Construction EHS Team.


The purpose of this position is to support and assist in the management of HSE (Environmental Health and Safety) programs relative to a specific account or market area.

Assists in Managing HSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and HSE needs of a client account(s).

Evaluates new and existing programs to assess suitability and the need for changes.

Assists in overseeing specific HSE plans, playbooks, and procedures for the assigned account or market area, making certain play books are current, complete, and effectively implemented.

Responds to customer member concerns regarding HSE matters.

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area.

Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination.

Document the current Construction EHS program in Google friendly format.

Develop various documents and reports as part of the Construction EHS program pertaining to injury/incident performance, program requirements, training, information communication, etc.

Develop, own and maintain the Construction EHS website.

Own and maintain the Construct Secure Data Tracker injury and incident database.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Brings ideas and concepts to the team regarding documentation and communication.


No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

Bachelor's degree in a communication or technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

Strong computer literacy and a good knowledge of Google software including Google Docs,

Google Slides, Google Sheets.

A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Ability to work to tight deadlines and navigate ambiguous environments

Working knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety, and environmental regulations is essential.

Direct experience dealing with regulatory agencies and/or compliance officers is preferred.

Experience working in manufacturing, construction, and facility maintenance and management is preferred.

Ability to effectively present information.

Any of the following: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) - preferred.
