Location/Division Specific Information

Greenville, SC API Manufacturing

How will you make an impact?

As an active member of the site leadership team (SLT), you will manage the EHS program to continuously improve EHS culture and compliance with EH&S regulations, practices and corporate standards

What will you do?

  • Provide technical EHS support and leadership to the site.

  • Implement and manage EHS programs and Procedures developing a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Implement and manage EHS Training program.

  • Lead Emergency Response Team.

  • Manage Controlled substances program.

  • Coach and mentor members of the EHS Department.

  • Develop Best Practice Programs.

  • Report Metrics to Corporate and Site Leadership team.

  • Responsible to fill in a needed for the safety professional or the environmental professional and to fill in any gaps as needed in the group.

How will you get here?

Education

  • BS
  • Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred
  • Working towards Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred

  • Able to obtain DEA registration - required

Experience

  • 5-10 years previous EH&S experience - required
  • 5-10 years previous Chemical, manufacturing or pharmaceutical work experience - preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proven ability to drive culture change and continuous improvement - required

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, leadership, motivation and organization skills - required

  • Able to work in a fast-pace environment - required

  • Knowledge of Controlled Substances and cGMP - preferred
