Hexcel is currently seeking an EHS Manager for our Decatur, AL location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

• Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS laws, regulations, corporate policies and standards, and local procedures and performance requirements.

• Lead the site EHS culture, working in collaboration with site and corporate leaders to ensure correct actions, behaviors, and beliefs support a safe and healthy work environment in alignment with site and corporate EHS and sustainability goals.

• Responsible for supporting company interface with regulatory authorities for regulatory visits, requests, permit submissions, and compliance responses.

• Manage and oversee all EHS aspects and impacts related to large capital expansion, including relevant EHS permits.

• Maintain the environmental management system by managing the hazardous waste program (small quantity generator), air pollution control programs (synthetic minor air permit), direct and indirect discharge permits, facility stormwater pollution prevention plan, facility risk management plan, emergency planning and community right to know, chemical inventories, spill control plan, and wastewater discharge program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental or related technical field.

• 7+ years of experience in operational manufacturing EHS roles, with 3+ years of managerial experience. Experience in chemical manufacturing is preferred.

• Effective ability to influence Plant, Production, Operations, Maintenance, and other area site management to drive the EHS performance and results.

• Experience in Process Safety Management (PSM); with HAZOP or other PHA experience and in root cause/corrective action methodologies.

• EHS regulatory knowledge, including OSHA, Title V, RCRA, and PSM. Experience managing and overseeing ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications.

• CSP or CIH preferred.

• Ability to excel in a cross functional and matrix organization.
