for you. We are seeking a motivated, top performing EHS professional that has the technical and

practical skills combined with a positive attitude and approach to help bring the Otis safety culture and

performance to the next level.

As a Regional EHS Manager you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to support Otis North America Area regional efforts related to environmental and safety compliance.In your role you will partner with Otis Field Operations to identify, anticipate, assess hazards, implement company EH&S policies and management systems, maintain regulatory compliance and reduce the impact of incidents and losses, including worker's compensation costs.

Description / Responsibilities include:

  • Reinforce the importance of EHS in the organization

  • Lead by example and enhance Otis Safety Culture

  • Actively support the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EHS objectives

  • Partner with operations to integrate EHS performance and ownership in the branch operations

  • Provide strategic leadership to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance

  • Develop, maintain, and review the EHS program to ensure compliance with current and future legal, regulatory and corporate requirements

  • Actively participate in management review meetings

  • Collaborate with EHS professionals to establish or adopt company best practices

  • Coordinate appropriate procedures, approvals, and control of hazardous, regulated and solid wastes

  • Manage all safety performance measures, documentation and training records in collaboration with field operations

  • Travel to regional locations to support operations 50-75% travel in local region

Education/Certifications

  • Degree in Health & Safety, and / or Environmental Management or equivalent experience, or elevator Field Operations experience

  • BA/BS degree with 5-10+ years EH&S experience

  • MA/MD degree with 3-7+ years EH&S experience

  • Or a minimum of 7+ years technical elevator field experience required.

Experience/Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5+ years of EH&S experience or 7+ years of elevator technical field experience

  • EH&S in a field service/operations environment is preferred

  • A broad understanding of all matters related to EH&S in a service environment

  • Knowledge of management systems, policies, strategies and systems needed to implement an EH&S

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, strategic thinking/planning and collaboration skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in field operations environment, including walking up multiple flights, navigating constructions sites and other remote work environments

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Prior elevator specific technical knowledge is an asset

Job Description Summary: The Regional Manager of Nursing DON is a licensed professional who assumes responsibility and authority for the management and administration and coordination of nursing in the agency in accordance with the company standards and policies and state, federal and accrediting body guidelines. The Regional Manager of Nursing (DON) assists in planning of agency activities and budget, and organizes, administers and supervises health services within the agency. The Regional Manager of Nursing (DON) enforces and ensures that a total quality management program for all aspects of patient care is maintained. The director of nursing is responsible for assisting the Senior Director, Operations in meeting operational and financial goals for the assigned region. Management of the nursing operations will consist of 70-90% of the Regional Manager of Nursing (DON)'s time, and the remainder of the time spent providing clinical patient care activities. Per state regulation requirements the Director of Nursing (DON) title will be used. Job Description: * Directs the activities of the nursing departments in assigned region. Schedules work activities of nursing staff so that the patient care needs are met. * Complies with requirements of the Company and ensures that services are provided in a manner consistent with established standards of practice, federal and state regulations, accreditation standards and agency policy. * Interprets and implements policies and procedures of the agency and oversees the selection, development, and monitoring of nursing staff in assigned region. * Directs the supervision and evaluation of all regional nursing personnel who provide direct patient care and directs all human resource issues related to nursing and allied health services personnel, including recruitment, performance evaluations, disciplines and terminations. * Maintains agency compliance with state and federal guidelines for disciplines. Serves as office administrator with the pharmacy manager or Director or Pharmacy in the absence of the Senior Director, Operations. Serves as the Administrator and/or Director of Nursing of the home health agency per Medicare Conditions of Participation definition. Serves as Facility Infection Prevention Coordinator, ensuring compliance with regulations, rules and standards as they relate to infection control practices. * Ensures that all nurses providing care maintain the professional standards of nursing practice. Support and drive supply formulary compliance by ensuring that nurses are monitoring patient supplies and maintaining adequate levels. * Assists the Senior Director, Operations in preparing, securing approval for, and implementing operating and expenditure budgets for department, and operates within those guidelines. Responsible for the coordination of patient services with the pharmacy, delivery, reimbursement and other departments both internally and externally. * Establishes and ensures the purchase and expedition of medical supplies and equipment within budget constraints. Supervisory Responsibilities: i.e. hiring, recommending/approving promotions and pay increases, scheduling, performance reviews, discipline, etc. Yes Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements: * Registered Nurse with a license in the current state of practice and at least 4 years of home health/infusion care experience or equivalent and 2 year of progressive experience in a management or supervisory position in the home care setting. * Required licensure in Nursing as granted by the current state of practice. * At least 2 years of experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work. * At least 2 years of experience in indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other team members. * At least 2 years of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expense and capital budgets. Basic Qualifications & Interests: * Experience applying knowledge of local, State, Federal, accrediting body, and OSHA rules and regulations. * Demonstrates competency in the clinical management of home infusion patients as evidenced by documented previous work experience. Knowledgeable and competent in patient management skills including the nursing process. Demonstrated knowledge of documentation and billing requirements for home health/infusion care goods and services. * Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates. * Experience in providing training and developing the clinical services process, documentation/user manuals. * Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and aligning text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, sorting, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, undo, spell check, track changes, review pane and/or print functions). * Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font style and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, aligning text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets). * Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: inserting, rearranging, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, increasing list level, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing outline view and/or running a slide show). * California based minimum requirements: BSN or bachelor's degree in a health related field with three (3) years of experience within the last five years in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility OR registered nurse with four (4) years of experience within the last five years in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility. One of these years of which was in a supervisory or administrative capacity. Travel Requirements: Willing to travel 40% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
