EHS Intern

JOB SUMMARY

The EHS intern will work in our EHS department as well as working with other departments to achieve desired EHS goals. He/she will have the opportunity to learn production, machining and engineering skills via hands-on training and work. The EHS intern is a hands-on position with interaction within all levels of the organization. The EHS intern will be hands-on position and be given projects with deliverables.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Review and improve Environmental Health and Safety programs and training modules.

• Assist with industrial hygiene monitoring, ergonomics evaluations, and lockout tagout (LOTO) evaluations.

• Assist with updates to the confined space inventory.

• Assist with accident investigation and follow-up.

• Assist with wastewater sampling and hazardous waste inspections/shipments.

• Develop monthly safety topics.

• Present topic at EHS committee meeting

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to manage multiple projects

• Good communications and presentation skills

• Understanding of basis ergonomics and JSA process

• Understanding of basic EPA, and OSHA regulations

EDUCATION

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, or similar field.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

• Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)

• Must be 18 years of age or older
