Role Summary:

This posting is for Fall 2018 with possibility of double blocks / part time work. Candidates must be enrolled in a credited college with the ability to relocate / commute to Bucyrus, OH.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, as an EHS Intern / Co-Op, you will:

Co-Ops will work in a manufacturing environment to complete projects designated by their Manager

Responsible for projects that have real impact on the business

  • Projects will include but are not limited to :

  • collecting and analyzing daily water samples

  • pH probe calibration

  • tri-weekly mercury vapor analysis readings

  • storm water inspections

  • fire inspections

  • and hazardous waste inspection

  • Other projects may relate to:

  • evaluation of supplier quality

  • product quality

  • evaluation and reliability

  • assembly production

  • fabrication and finishing

  • production equipment

  • and fixture specification

Qualifications/Requirements:

Graduating between June 2018-June 2021

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program at an accredited university or college

Degree focused in: Environmental, Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related dicipline

Minimum GPA: 3.0

Desired Characteristics:

Successful candidates will have significant leadership roles on campus or in the community

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Effective team skills

Coursework or related experience in their major field of study

Performs a variety of administrative tasks and works on various projects. The Division of Finance has several paid internships available for the summer of 2019. * JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of their assigned supervisor, participates in a structured learning experience. Active participation in departmental individual or group projects. Other duties as assigned. * EDUCATION: At a minimum, students must have successfully completed at least 8th grade prior to the start of the Cleveland Clinic student program. * Current undergraduate or graduate students majoring in Computer Science, Finance, Statistics or Accounting strongly preferred. * REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: No previous experience required. SOME OF THE OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE INCLUDE: Financial Systems Department - Intern will work with the systems analysts on various financial technology project implementations, including Clinical Trials, SQL Reporting, Project Management, requirements documentation, etc. Property Accounting Department - Intern will assist with the monthly asset capitalizations, quarterly depreciation true ups, a retrospective asset capitalization review and preparing for the capital budget. Treasury Department - Intern will primarily participate in project work, such as data gathering, compilation, review and analysis for functions such as cash management, financial reporting, and general accounting. Will assist with audit work for pension testing, international business reporting, and cash audits. This position may require some local travel for cash audits. Revenue Cycle Management Department – Intern responsibilities include (but are not limited to) billing and follow-up, customer service, financial clearance and collections, cash application, contract compliance, system support and training, financial reporting and budgetary control. Financial Planning Department – Intern will assist in Budgeting, Long Range Financial Forecasting, Service Line planning, development of business plans, Performance Improvement projects as well as provide financial support for the Administrative Services at the Cleveland Clinic. Responsibilities: * Active participation in departmental individual or group projects. * Other duties as assigned. Certifications: * None required. Complexity of Learning Experience: * Can discuss and weigh pros and cons and separate critical issues. * Can make definitive choices, expresses opinions on issues and can explain logical path decisions. Work Experience: * None required. Physical Requirements: * Requires full range of body motion including handling/lifting items, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. * Requires frequent standing and sitting. * Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
