Position Purpose

This position will report directly to the EHS Manager, but will work closely with Fort Worth Management Team. Position will focus on implementing our comprehensive safety programs. This position will lead cross functional concerted efforts to reduce injuries in a manufacturing setting. Successful candidate should be a focused team player with proven liaison, coordination and communication skills and a desire that zero injuries are possible.

Principal Accountabilities
65%Reviews the site practices and conditions on a consistent basis for implementation of policies and procedures. Document control of all safety programs and regulations (i.e. BBP, near miss, and safety scorecard)
25%Interaction with hourly employees to support safety processes and affect the culture of safety at the facility
15%Hazard identification/Risk Reductions Activities, including follow-up on action items.
15% Provide Coaching and training to employees at all levels of the organization
10% Investigate incidents and analyze trends including understanding data entry into company event tracking system.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in operations management or EHS related field

  • Experience with safety regulations

  • Experience of Microsoft Office Software

  • Flexible for schedule changes( 2nd/3rd shift) when necessary

  • Willing to work on weekends when necessary

  • Physically able to walk for long periods of time

  • Able and/or willing to climb stairs/ladders

  • Comfortable working in all areas of the plant: cold and hot environments

  • Ability to learn Cargill specific applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in related fields

  • Safety experience in process implementation in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience/knowledge of environmental regulations

  • Experience in ergonomics

  • Bilingual : English Spanish
