Quanex is looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to join our team located in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.
The EHS Engineer will assist plant leadership in managing environmental and health safety programs, policies, and procedures for an assigned region or plant. In this role, the successful candidate will promote safety as a core value and participate in special projects that will drive continuous improvement of environmental, safety and health systems.

Serve as an auditor on the Quanex EHS Corporate Audit Team.
What Success Looks Like:
Coordinate regular plant safety, environmental and housekeeping audits. Perform audits, identify hazards, and issue reports to appropriate managers.
Provide daily guidance and enforce the safety policies, procedures and guidelines as set out by the Company.
Facilitate training for employees, such as new hire orientation, lift truck, right to know and other safety, environmental and loss prevention related topics.
Review and assist plants with review of accident/incident reports and determination of root cause.
Assist plant leadership with information and training for the plant safety committee.
Maintains all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements.
Participate as an auditor on the Quanex EHS Corporate Audit Team.
Understands and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to environmental protection or occupational health and safety.
Reviews monthly and annual safety statistics.
Develop and deploy standard safe work practices and procedures as appropriate.
Ability to travel 10% annually.
Your Credentials:
1+ years of experience in environmental, health & safety, related experiences or experiences as a co-op or intern.
Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, Industrial engineering, or related discipline.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
The salary range for this position is $51,825 - $77,738, w/ bonus potential.
