Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of EHS Engineer will provides safety, environmental, and industrial hygiene consulting services as assigned. Defines and conducts safety, environmental and industrial hygiene-related and/or EHS project tasks, leading to successful completion of projects.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Performs and guides technical safety activities resulting from approved self-initiated or assigned programs leading to innovative applications and extensions of existing or new programs/systems having major importance to the business within the assigned area of responsibility. Defines safety project timelines and outcomes. Includes:

  • Develop and present training packages

  • Oversee and assist facilities in Global Safety and Health Plan (GSHP) program development and performance status

  • Establishes and cultivates an extensive network of support (facility, lab, manufacturing,

  • engineering, sales and marketing) to facilitate completion of assignments. Communicates project or program status and results to customers and management. Provides safety consulting services on new programs for assigned locations.

  • Analyzes safety and health data and reports trends and results to management. Recommends plans for correction.

  • Applies working knowledge of key corporate initiatives and appropriate tools to job function.

  • Leads teams within the assigned business unit. Participates on cross-functional and/or cross-divisional teams.

  • Provides guidance and technical knowledge to new employees and others.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Minimum three (3) years of combined experience in safety and/or EHS in a private, public, government or military environment

  • Experience in a leadership role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or higher degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Science

  • Minimum five (5) years of Environmental, Health and Safety in a private, public, government or military environment

  • Ability to create, lead and work in a team atmosphere

  • Ability to drive and influence positive change

  • Computer skills in Microsoft office

  • Strong interpersonal relations skill

  • Proven history of attention to details

Location: New Ulm, MN

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international

Relocation: Is authorized

Offer your time and talent as a tutor and be more for these students. As a Math Tutor, you'll help struggling students in grades 4-8 to improve their skills and get on track with math. With great training and onsite coaching, we'll prepare you to work with pairs of students to build fundamental math skills and confidence. Students make the most progress when you are there, so our tutors serve during school hours and are needed for the whole school year. We are currently recruiting for the 2019-20 school year. Tutors have the option of beginning in August 2019, September 2019, October 2019 or January 2020. This is an AmeriCorps member position with Minnesota Math Corps. Although the earnings are modest, the rewards are great! You'll join an amazing group of more than 1,500 Minnesota tutors, determined to help students be more.
