EHS Coordinator

Reporting directly to the EHS Site Manager, the EHS Site Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of their assigned site and will work to create and enforce a culture of safety within our organization. Partnering with the local leadership teams in implementing EHS procedures, policies, as well as conducting site assessments, the position will develop and implement action plans that drive closure of open issues and improvements resulting in improved safety performance and environmental controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

\t

• Provide strong visible and active daily presence in the functional work areas to observe operations and to work with employees to achieve safe behaviors and operations.

\t

• Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs at the employee / supervisor and management level to ensure a common and effective approach.

\t

• Evaluate the facility EHS related conditions and identify risks and develop appropriate action plans.

\t

• Perform incident investigations and assist in corrective actions.

\t

• Conduct job hazard analysis and recommend preventative/corrective action where hazards exist.

\t

• Develop and deliver training to employees on EHS programs, including new employee orientation.

\t

• Analyze and maintain EHS records, metrics and systems and reporting performance using Gensuite software management program.

\t

• Lead worker injury management response as part of the workers compensation program.

\t

• Manage hazardous waste (waste profiles, and coordinate disposal)

\t

• Serve as chair on safety committees/councils

\t

• Perform other related duties as assigned.
  Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

\t

• Safety experience in manufacturing a plus

\t

• CPR/1st Aid Certified

\t

• Must have mathematical skills, reasoning ability, and analytical skillset.

\t

• OSHA 10 Certification

\t

• Forklift Operation Experience

\t

• Strong interpersonal skills: must work well in teams and be able to develop relationships with various levels of leadership.

\t

• Must be proficient in use of Microsoft office suite.

\t

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Flexible to work overtime as needed to meet schedule deadlines.

\t

• Flexible to change and open to constructive feedback.

\t

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
