Position Summary
Provide assistance and support to ESH members of team, create and maintain crucial information for compliance purposes (i.e. databases, and inspections), publish periodic reports on sites compliance initiatives, and to be an integral contributor to the success of the Goulds Pumps Environmental, Safety and Health programs.
Maintains critical, detailed information for regulatory compliance by several databases (Life Safety, Fire systems, Fire extinguishers, emergency equipment etc.) and reporting any deficiencies immediately. Contact for internal tracking and reporting requirements. Work in a Team environment. Obtain information from other parties to verify that compliance task are being completed correctly. Completes various safety projects around the plant as needed.
Essential Responsibilities
Maintain Compliance Calendar; update information for monthly reporting requirements. Ensure routine inspections are conducted as required - i.e. fire suppression equipment, emergency lighting, emergency shower and eyewash units, first-aid supplies
Perform administrative duties for Manager, Safety Engineer, and ESH Department
Assist and participate in safety committee meetings, and supervisor's trainings, occasionally take meeting notes
Assist in the creation of tracking databases crucial to completion of annual reports for safety and environmental
Coordinate/conduct Hot work permitting and fire watch activities
Update LOTO/ JSA and Work Instruction procedures and LOTO points on machinery
Assist with regular safety audits and inspections and keep track of safety audit results and track progress on action items generated from incident
Attend and assist in the coordination of Emergency Response incidents. Be willing and able to be trained and perform First Aid/CPR
Participate and assist with the training of new employees
Monitor and restock safety glass dispenser stations around campus
Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of local administration of ITT Corporate
Perform duties pertaining to factory compliance for local, state and federal regulations
Identify training needs and develop on-going employee safety training programs
Utilize a risk analysis process to evaluate current, new, and changing processes and the effectiveness of existing
Assist with incident investigations and root cause corrective action plans and corrective action implementation for all environmental and safety incidents
Lead first line supervision and management to implement safety programs.
Position Requirements
Education: BS in Safety related field
Experience: 2-4 years
Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
Excellent organizational skills
