The Application Manager provides the implementation, development, adaptation, integration, enhancement, and end-user training of Epic and/or Cerner applications and adjunct integrated application systems. Through focus group sessions will gain knowledge of the operational requirements and constraints across the health system for advancing and optimizing the EHR/EMR related to system functionality, improvement and routine maintenance and support.
KEY OBJECTIVES WE WILL ASK OF YOU
Ability to perform workflow analysis
A strong understanding of clinical and back-office (i.e., billing/claims) processes
Experience implementing and upgrading EMR/EHR solutions, including design, configuration, training, and rollout for multi-state, multi-site organizations
Experience implementing and supporting EMR/EHR Point of Care (POC) solutions and related device management
Experience providing or leading EMR/EHR support to clinicians
Experience with EMR/EHR ad-hoc and custom report design and development
Experience with Epic and/or Cerner support, especially optimizing and improving system workflows based on clinical and operational best practices
Systems training and support for both outpatient and inpatient settings
Ability to design, develop, and deliver enduser training for either Epic or Cerner systems to clinicians and backoffice staff
Responsible for design, writing and maintenance of Epic application training curriculums and end-user proficiency evaluations.
Responsible for design, build and maintenance of Epic application training environment.
Key SME in design and training deployment of new IT/Epic application functionality and continuously on-going enhancement.
Provides application troubleshooting support for endusers.
A proven history with solving complex EMR/EHR data and user-related issues
A proven history documenting, designing, and implementing EMR/EHR system-associated process changes
Experience assessing clinical processes and workflows and translating these to EMR functionality and configuration
Healthcare RN experience required.
Bachelors degree preferred,
5 years work experience in training, information technology, or healthcare operations
5+ years work experience supporting EHR/EMR solutions in the Acute Care and Medical Group industry
Epic Certification required (OpTime, ASAP, Inpatient preferred).
Experience and/or education in clinical or operational informatics preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to work remotely
Ability to travel via a major US airport
Consulting experience would be a plus but not required
