Role overview & responsibilities:
Come join a busy, dynamic global team dedicated to providing global follow-the-sun 1st and 2nd line production service excellence to the Trade Capture, Risk and P&L applications across the regional FX business using your technical and business knowledge in this challenging and fast-moving space.
The ideal candidate will be a hardworking, proactive individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills who has a desire to drive continuous improvement and the ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time.
Support of all eFX production applications - this includes appropriate escalation and ownership to completion of all reported issues and requests.
This role involves extensive face-to-face, telephone and email interaction with the business (External users, Traders and Salespeople) and business support staff, i.e. Business Management, Middle Office, Back Office and Compliance etc.
Interaction with various application development teams to ensure proper delivery of new applications, upgradeseleases and to maintain a high-level of on-going support for all production applications
Interaction with various core infrastructure technology groups to ensure management and maintenance of application dependent core infrastructure
Ability to apply problem solving skills prior to escalation to another team
Maintain team knowledge base of known issues, steps required to address particular issues\tasks, documentation of new processes and general updates to keep content current
Logging of tickets for each and every reported issue to build up a knowledge base, identification of issue trends and for generation of metrics for management reporting n, Incident Management, etc.
Skills, experience & qualifications:
Minimum
Experience in a Production Support role
Knowledge of front office electronic trading systems including apps that have connectivity to external trading apps
Confident with understanding and adhering to procedure such as release and incident management etc.
Experience in ticket logging processes to build up a knowledge base, identify trends and generate accurate metrics for management reporting
The ability to apply problem solving skills prior to escalation to management
Be able to build strong, collaborative relationships with the business, application development teams, Infrastructure, various governance teams and functional groups across the region
Strong communication skills and resilience when dealing with demanding clients
Able to handle a fast paced trading environment and ability to handle production issues impacting the business with a sense of urgency
Operating systems knowledge (Windows, Unix, Linux)
Strong scripting skills (eg Shell Scripting)
Good working knowledge of databases and writing SQL queries
Experience in FIX Protocol
Preferred
eFX client on-boarding experience
Worked in a front office trader facing environment supporting E-Trading application/similar experience in high frequency low latency applications
Knowledge and experience in IT automation
Knowledge and understanding of the Site Reliablility Engineering principles
Understanding of Agile practices and principles
Autosys setup and configuration
Understanding of ITIL
ECN or Exchange connectivity
Understanding of FX products
KDB
Understanding of Investment Banking (especially FX)
