Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices for religious accommodations at the Administration for Children and Families (ACF).

  • Receive and process inquiries and requests for religious accommodations within ACF.

  • Provide backup support to the Reasonable Accommodation Coordinator (RAC) in processing disability accommodation requests and Personal Assistance Services (PAS) requests.

  • Serve as a backup technical consultant in accommodation matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Assist the RAC in processing reasonable accommodation and PAS requests within specified timeframes.

  • Serve as the Anti-Harassment Coordinator (AHC) for ACF, handling inquiries and complaints regarding harassment and hostile working environments in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

  • Ensure timely processing of accommodation and accessibility requests and complaints.

  • Collaborate with ODME staff to maintain up-to-date data for various reports.

  • Address individual internal accommodation and accessibility requests and complaints.

  • Update, develop, and implement policies, procedures, and practices related to religious and disability accommodations.

  • Work with staff to ensure agency compliance with laws and regulations, including E.O. 14035 on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) in the Federal Workforce.

  • Receive and process internal inquiries and complaints regarding harassment as needed, meeting all specified timeframes.

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual EEO and DEIA reporting.

  • Support the agency Director to ensure compliance with administrative requirements.

Education and Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of demonstrated experience working with accommodations and accessibility issues within a government agency, corporation, or organization preferred

  • Possess a working knowledge of or strong familiarity with federal EEO and Anti-Harassment laws

  • Must have first-hand experience fielding harassment complaints and requests for accommodations

  • Experience with EEO and other compliance reporting strongly preferred
