Provides high quality neurodiagnostic data to the neurologist, so that an accurate nuerological disorder diagnosis can be determined.

Education

Required: Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostics Technician Program (END); or Two years of experience working under a registered technologist or registered electroencephalo-grapher plus proof of passing Kaweah Health competency assessment standards; or Completion of Kaweah Health's EEG Training Program and proof of passing Kaweah Health competency assessment standards.

Essential

Performs neurodiagnostic procedures (routine EEG, portable EEG, ECI recording, evoked potentials), assists with NVC/EMG testing.

Completes patient history and pertinent information for the physician interpretation/billing.

Prepares patient records for interpretation: labeling montages/recording settings, patient information, binding, history form.

Answers phones, make appointments, answers patient/physician questions, provides verbal reports to physicians, routes calls or takes messages as appropriate.

Performs necessary lab maintenance: cleans electrodes/work space, restocks room, alerts chief tech of supply shortages.

Attends department meetings: monthly staff meetings, education meetings, technologist teaching conferences.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area. Knowledgeable of growth and development for all patient/family cultural, linguistic, spiritual, gender, and age specific needs. Able to effectively communicate and care for patient and family as reflected in the Plan for Provision of Care.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$26.29 -$39.43
