About this position

Identified leader within the EEG team. Plays a vital role in overseeing the EEG lab operations and supervising EEG technicians. Requires a strong foundation in EEG procedures, technical expertise and leadership skills. Operates electro neurodiagnostic equipment which measures and records electrical activity of the brain; assisting in the analysis and diagnosis of disorders in the brain; for preparation of the customer and collection of historical information pertinent to the interpretation of the tests. The technician relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish their goals. Customers may include neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Requirements

Education

  • High school graduate or equivalent (i.e. GED) required.

  • Successful completion of an accredited EEG program preferred

  • 5-7 years' EEG Tech experience preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years' health care or customer service experience required.

  • Previous intraoperative EEG experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with basic EEG concepts, practices and procedures.

Licensure/Certification

  • Current BLS Certification

  • Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist
