Coordinates and facilitates EEG Laboperations.
Implements staff coverage and maintains on-call schedule.
Instructs technicians and relatedclinicians in technical aspects of neurological testing.
Reviews test reports andpatient records for accuracy and completeness. Prepares digital files for archiving.
Monitors operational processes to ensureadherence to safety and quality performance standards.Recommends process improvements, as needed.
Implementsquality assurance andperformance improvement initiatives and reports activities tomanagement.
Arrangesequipment servicing in accordance with service contract provisions. Evaluates and recommends equipmentreplacement, as required.
Compiles and analyzes laboratory performance statisticsand reports findings management.
Performsall functions of an EEG Technician, as required.
Schedules testing and coordinates patienttransportation, as required.
Performselectroencephalograms (EEGs), twenty-four hour inpatient video EEGs, and outpatientEEGs.
Submitstest result reports to Physician for interpretation and signature.
Notifies physician immediately in theevent of abnormal findings
Performs related duties, asrequired
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG.T), required.
Minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience as an EEG Technician, required.
Excellent organizational skills, required. Ability to function independently and exercise good judgment.
