EDW Development Team Lead

The "EDW Development Team Lead" role requires knowledge of agile software development, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) development practices, and data and analytics background. Change Healthcare Enterprise Solutions & Services (ESS) requires a team lead to organize specific scrum team development for data and analytics across internal systems, using the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Tools used include Jira, Confluence, and standard project management tools. The technology used by the team includes Talend, TIBCO, Redshift, SQL Server, Oracle and other databases, primarily hosted in the CHC Cloud 2.0 Amazon cloud environment. The enterprise tools/applications involved cover the entire business lifecycle for CHC customers (lead, sale, contract, implementation, billing, revenue recognition, etc), such as CRM and operations support. The position will coordinate developers and data modelers on the ESS data engineering team, and collaborate with the BI, analytics, experimentation, data management and data governance teams, and will involve coordinating developers on- and off-shore. The position may partner with other teams implementing data visualization and reporting tools for specific business units. In addition, the position will require coordination with stakeholders in various operational systems, direction of infrastructure resources such as DBAs and sysadmins, management of production support issues to closure, and follow-up for root cause analysis.

Generic Responsibilities:

  • Management: Lead team of programmers and integration developers

  • Technical Support: Direct the implementation of long term solutions.

  • Documentation: Develop program specifications and flowcharts as needed, develop and maintain clear and succinct documentation.

  • Communication: Convey problems, solutions, updates and status to management.

  • Planning: Prepare time estimates, spring & project plans, resource plans, and status reports

  • Data Modeling: show interest and understanding of underlying data structures

  • Testing: Ensure testing protocols are followed

  • Analysis/Design: Analyze technical and business requirements and make determinations, with the help of architects and other senior leadership.

  • Vendor Management: Manage day to day activities for contractors and verify invoices

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor degree in computer science or a related discipline preferred

  • 1-3 years of leadership experience

  • 1-2 years of software development OR comparable technical work experience preferred

  • Specific Technologies Preferred: Jira/Agile, SAFe, TIBCO Spotfire/Jaspersoft

  • Must have an excellent grounding in standard SDLC

  • Aware of business issues as they impact overall project plans.

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

Lead Front-end Engineer, Digital Innovation Team At TSYS, we're building the future of payments. Example products that you'll be working on as a part of the TSYS DI team... * Create open API's and content for TSYS Developers (developers.tsys.com), our client hub for open technology (API's, SDK's and much more) developed by TSYS * Build Amazing Mobile web and native mobile app experiences for card holder. Examples of the functions include pay the credit card balance, browse the purchase history, redeem the rewards * Design and build SAAS applications for managing the cardholder experiences and branding for the cardholder experiences Everyday you'll do these kinds of things… * Collaborate with engineers in the Digital Innovation team to iterate on the design and implementation of our product * Conduct research and prototype new technologies that help to progress our products and platforms * Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and other team members to analyze functional requirements * Prepare and execute acceptance testing and help automate them * Work in an engineering focused, iterative team that's composed of people with a wide range of skills * Collaborate with Product Owners and run teams using scrum sprint cycles: ideation, research, design, development, testing and launch * Debug and address UI performance issues * Produce clean, efficient, and scalable front-end code, HTML/CSS/JavaScript * Evaluate and coach other developers on the technical and interpersonal best-practices of software development * Turn requirements, wireframes, prototypes and interactive user interfaces into fully functional and high performing products The ideal candidate will have: Minimum * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology or business information systems or related field * Enjoy building user interfaces with modern tools like Javascript, ES6, React, Redux, Webpack * Commanding grasp of HTML5, CSS3, and related web technologies like SASS, LESS * Exposure to architectural patterns of a large, high-scale applications (e.g., well-designed APIs, mobile apps, data integrations, and/or large mobile web applications) * Fluent, open communication style – speaking, writing, collaborating * Demonstrated understanding of user experience, user centered design and responsive web design * Strong experience handling different browser capabilities and in-depth knowledge of accessibility issues, WCAG2 and ARIA * Experience leading UI engineering teams Preferred * Minimum five years relevant experience with advanced coding skills * Experience designing and developing large distributed, mobile, machine learning, responsive web or API software systems * Experience working in a team-based, start-up or agile development environment * Track record of pursuing self-directed side projects, research, or open source projects * Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to find solutions beyond the scope of the project * Solid understanding of web application architecture, SPA vs non-SPA architecture, object-oriented software, and design patterns What's it like to work in our Team?
