As an Educator, you will:

  • Engage youth in academic and social enrichment activities that expand & enhance school day learning in a meaningful way
  • Partner with the Program Manager to deliver dynamic Right At School curriculum, support homework completion, lead fun fitness activities, and guide children safely through all activities
  • Actively partner and communicate with parents in order to provide the best child care for their children
  • Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children
  • Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents and other observation
  • Regularly check in with the Program Manager regarding personal and child performance metrics

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Teachers who have experience working with children AND/OR college credits in early childhood/elementary/related field
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills
  • Individuals who work well in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel
  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements; FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter, Cleared TB
  • Respect for and dedication to working with children with special needs
  • A love for children!

Responsibilities & Requirements This position will actively be involved in Covid screenings and testing The Patient Educator position duties include, but are not limited to the following: * Assist the Community Outreach Department with organizing, implementing and maintaining wellness activities by utilizing their professional knowledge and experience as it relates to their field of expertise * Regularly participate in and promote wellness programs, including public presentations, with concentration on health promotion, disease prevention, screenings and lifestyle modification * The Patient Educator will refer clients as needed to KHN physicians and services and will track and measure outcomes as mandated * Will act as the liaison at events and will promote and use service lines in the development of programs specifically designed to meet the needs of the community * The Patient Educator will regularly enhance knowledge base by staying current in health information provided by nationally recognized health organizations * The Patient Educator is highly motivated with the ability to work independently of others * Regularly participates in and promotes wellness programs, including public presentations, with concentration on health promotion, disease prevention, screenings and lifestyle modification Job Requirements * Associate's degree * Registered Nurse (Current Ohio nursing license) * Current BLS /CPR certification * One or more years of medical office experience * Minimum of six months clinical nursing experience * Computer literate and very strong with Excel, Word and Outlook * Requires the ability to lift 30-50 pounds as needed Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred * Public speaking, teaching and/or mentoring experience * Previous experience in Community Health, Health Promotion, or Social Work * Excellent organization and communication skills Kettering Medical Center Network Beavercreek OH
