Job Summary The clinician is a professional nurse who is an expert in the care of a specified patient population/subspecialty area. The clinician assumes a leadership role and supervisory responsibilities in the development, organization, and implementation of care services for the specified patient population. Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Experience Preferred Education and experience as follows: BSN degree with a minimum of four years of recent clinical nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics, preferably in outpatient setting. OR MSN degree with a minimum of three years recent nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics, preferably outpatient setting. Will Consider: ADN degree with a minimum of five years recent nursing experience; a minimum of 3 years in pediatric subspecialty preferred. Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries Current RN License in the State of Alabama Current BLS certificate required, BLS Instructor preferred. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist# (CDCES) required o Must obtain within 3 years of assuming the role.
