EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST Community College Professional 16 12-Month, Tenure-Track Position ANTICIPATED START DATE: November 2018 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Instructional Technology or other appropriately related field together with one year of related experience required; or a combination of education, training and experience which would lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the positions essential duties.
The successful candidate must demonstrate advanced knowledge and abilities in the following areas: Application of computers and internet to transmission of instruction, including information technology literacy skills; Familiarity with training methodology and course management systems; Effective oral and written communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Technology, the Educational Technology Specialist supports faculty and academic staff in the use of instructional technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
The Specialist will be primarily responsible for providing support to faculty and academic staff with the implementation of instructional technology; providing training programs and support to faculty and staff on the use of instructional technologies, including course management systems; and administrative support.
The incumbent is required to participate in college meetings; commencement and convocation activities as well as special College meetings.
Schedule will include some evenings and weekend hours.
ANNUAL SALARY: $53,774.00 approximate annual salary, with full benefits package.

A Day in the Life * Responsible for a proactive approach to identifying growth within a sales region through geographic canvasing and the use of controlled data to identify opportunities. * In conjunction with field sales and corporate teams, will identify, create, prioritize, and pursue market development opportunities and patient awareness campaigns across the region. * Work with new customers, in partnership with the sales team, to remove barriers to growing their practices through disease state awareness and educational support for their staff and patients. * Development of under-penetrated geographies and markets by coordinating referral physician and staff awareness and education on the disease state and our therapy portfolio. * Work directly with referring physician specialties such as family practice, internal medicine, podiatry, wound care center staff and other specialties with an indication to refer a patient for further disease state evaluation with a direct focus on the continuum of care. * Responsible for educating and supporting key treating physician accounts as determined by supporting data, geographic canvasing and the direction of market development. With a primary focus on added value offerings to ensure key sales and marketing support in alignment with the global marketing plan. * Establish and maintain positive relationships with key customers and influential thought leaders within the industry and specific geography of specified territory with specific emphasis on establishing long-term relationships between corporate and vascular physicians from training through transition into practice. * Provide advanced clinical and technical support for coverage of relevant procedures. Educate physicians and support staff on product instructions for use, troubleshooting, clinical data, industry news, and relevant competitive positioning. * Assist marketing and sales with awareness and educational support with regard to selling strategies and marketing programs within our portfolio of products and services. * Coordinate with sales on a regional level as needed to roll out new sales and marketing programs and initiatives in support of our field strategies. * Provide weekly and quarterly summaries of performance against objectives to marketing management. As well as, attending quarterly performance reviews and all required meetings and suggested sales meetings. * Specific focus on high opportunity territory within the region as determined by sales and marketing data and canvasing, however understanding the overall focus is to support the entire sales region upon direction from marketing and sales management. * Local and regional travel required up to 70% of the time. Quarterly travel to extended region also required.
