Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is now hiring an Educational Support Specialist for the College of Arts and Sciences (COAS) at the Daytona Beach campus. The Educational Support Specialist will assist the Dean, Associate Deans and department chairs with various administrative, technical and analytical duties.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Oversee strategic plan activities to help with the retention efforts of the College; work with the various departments within COAS and Academic Advancement Center (AA Center) to obtain various types of data. Generate reports, analyze data, and perform data mining.

  • Implement work-related technologies: Microsoft Office Suite (in particular use advanced Excel functions and features such as VLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, PivotTables, PivotCharts), extract data from Campus Solutions and Discoverer. Create reports as needed by the College and University Administration, using advanced Excel features and Powerpoint.

  • Support the management of the College budget and administrative staff in academic departments and programs, including:

  • Developing and implementing improved procedures to manage Masters and PhD stipends to support student success.

  • Providing assistance in monitoring and reconciling accounts.

  • Problem-solving for the AA Center.

  • Manage student employees working for the College and the AA Center.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of work related experience.

  • Administrative and clerical skills.

  • Demonstrated technical skills (PC, Microsoft Office, basic hardware/software).

  • Strong interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced spreadsheet proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
