What You'll Do Here:

The Sales Consultant in the K12 market is expected to travel throughout the assigned territory on a regular basis to visit our current and prospective customers to conduct in-person sales consultation with faculty, curriculum director and administrators. Develops and implements plans to achieve goals.

  • Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions of both our textbook and digital products.

  • Meet or exceed annual sales goals.

  • Create and execute strategic territory and business plans.

  • Drive new business to foster growth within the territory.

  • Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting through the use of company sales tools.

  • Participate, when appropriate, in network building opportunities within territory, including but not limited to conferences, group presentations, and industry functions.

Skills You Will Need Here:


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Demonstrable record of consistent sales and goal achievement performance.

  • Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.

  • Ability to create and execute complex sales solutions.

  • Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain effective working relationship with customers, prospective customers, internal business partners, colleagues and management

  • Documented territory management and organizational skills

  • Strong competency in the use of business technologies, including PCs, mobile phones w/email and multiple applications, CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to transport materials to customer locations is critical to this role, therefore must be able to lift 50 lbs unaided and move up to 100 lbs with mechanical assistance.


  • 2 years of teaching, sales or publishing experience,
  • Sales experience in and/or strong knowledge of digital information delivery.

Additionally, focus on market development toreferring physicians with a primary focus on disease states such as cryptogenicstroke, syncope and atrial fibrillation. Collaborate effectively with theCRDM and CVG field teams to implement the Diagnostics strategies and ensureflawless execution with our customers. We seek candidates who will exceed our customer expectations by strivingwithout reserve for the greatest possible reliability and quality in ourproducts, processes and systems and ensure patients are best served. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Conduct sales calls to promoteand sell Medtronic's Diagnostic products and services to existing andcompetitive customers * Partner with the CRDM and CVGsales teams for coordination and the execution of plans to fully leverage ourdiagnostics and monitoring capabilities * Fully support and execute theDiagnostics launch and sales strategies. Work closely with CRDM to optimize the customer experience and ensure a"low service" model is achieved * Implement quarterly salesstrategies and achieve revenue, implant and prescription goals * Call on referral physicians toinclude Neurologists and Cardiologists to promote our Diagnostics tools andexpand access to appropriate patients who could benefit * Capitalize on all field toolsto include to best manage territory business and accountplanning * Provide ongoing fieldintelligence and be "current" on competitive activity, changes in markets,distribution, and pricing, as well as provide input on customer experience.
