For the 2024-2025 School Year

Position Summary: Assist teachers in the classroom with daily instructional activities which increase student academic achievement. Assist with and perform non-instructional activities, including hygiene, physical, and personal care of students.

Basic Qualifications:

• 36 College Credit Hours or complete 20 hours of online sub-training by Frontline Education.

• Achieve and maintain DESE Substitute Certificate. The district will reimburse for the initial sub-certification if one has not been obtained prior to hire.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Calm demeanor for handling stressful situations

• Ability to accomplish tasks that are often interrupted by persons with special and/or immediate needs.

De Soto, "The City of Pride", has a population of 6,375 and is located in the southeastern part of Missouri, approximately 45 miles south of St. Louis.

Salary: Starting at $14.78 with no previous experience. The district will provide credit for up to 10 years of experience + 1 for every 2 after that. 24-25 Support Staff Salary Schedule
