Job Description:
Position: 1:1 Para-Educator Long Term Sub (job #2706)
Qualifications: College graduate and/or evidence of having passed the ParaPro assessment required.
Candidates should demonstrate an ability to; work in multiple educational settings, be flexible, maintain confidentiality, and show passion and enthusiasm for their assignment. Preference will be given to candidates who have served as a 1:1 Paraeducator for students in the past. As well as candidates who have experiencing working with children who are non-verbal, mobility restricted, and/or needed assistance with personal care.
Responsibilities: Provide instructional and behavioral 1 on 1 support, in a classroom setting under the direct supervision of a certified special education case manager.
Terms of Employment: Position to start ASAP and ends on or about June 12, 2024.
Work week: Monday - Friday, 32.5 hours per week; hourly wage and benefits in accordance with the Agreement Between the Avon Board of Education and CSEA, SEIU Local 2001.
