Educational Paraprofessional

Job Description:

Position Available: Commencing with the 2024-2025 school year. Official start date will be August 27, 2024.

Schedule: 6.25 paid hours per day, Monday-Friday when school is in session for students plus one additional day before school starts for a total of 181 workdays. One-half hour unpaid for lunch.

Salary and Benefits: In accordance with the support staff collective bargaining unit agreement. Salary range - $17.69/hour to $19.91/hour, depending on experience. Comprehensive benefits.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• College degree OR high school diploma with evidence of having passed the ParaPro exam

• Experience working with children aged 5-10

• Solid understanding of basic math concepts

Ideal Candidate Possesses:

• Ability to work with the math specialist at his/her direction:

• assisting with math assignments and providing math interventions

• working with small groups of students for math instructional assistance

• Ability to communicate and relate well with young children

• Good organizational skills

• Flexibility

• Good interpersonal skills

• Sense of humor
