Position Title:

Educational Interpreter for the Hearing Impaired

Exceptional Children/Special Education

Location:

Countywide

Salary:

($16.39-$50.00 hourly) plus local supplement, depending on experience

Term:

10 Months, Monday-Friday 8 hours daily

Minimum Degree Level:

High School Diploma and an EIPA score of 3.3 or higher (for Interpreter I position), Associate degree in Educational Interpreting from an accredited program and an EIPA score of 3.5 or above (for Interpreter II position)

Additional Position Comments:

The pay grade is between 62 for Educational Interpreter I and 64 for Educational Interpreter II. Please see the NCDPI website for pay grade information.
