Job Description

The Assessment Analyst at Achieve3000 is a member of the Research team. The Assessment Analyst's primary responsibility will be designing and executing ongoing and ad hoc analyses of assessment data from Achieve3000's programs, including all data that contribute to the Achieve3000 Lexile measure. As a secondary responsibility, this position will be involved in designing and executing ongoing and ad hoc efficacy research about Achieve3000's programs. The successful Assessment Analyst will produce high quality work for customers and executive management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal technology and product teams, as well as external psychometric teams, to design and execute research projects about Achieve3000 assessments, including reliability, validity, item response, and classification accuracy studies

  • Using appropriate inferential and descriptive statistical methods, analyze customer usage data to inform small- and large-scale reports to inform Achieve3000 product development and impact on student learning

  • Use data extract tools, including SQL, to obtain data required for analysis and reports

  • Prepare analyses and reports using Tableau and a statistical analysis application

  • Write up results summaries for internal and external audiences

  • Communicate with and present to Achieve3000 colleagues in the marketing, product development, sales, implementation, and executive management teams to carry out requests and deliver results

  • Support other Research team members in their projects as necessary

Job Requirements

  • Graduate degree in educational psychology or a related field with strong emphasis on assessment

  • 5+ years of quantitative analysis experience in psychometrics and educational measurement

  • Demonstrated ability to create effective and impactful data visualizations

  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills (oral and written)

  • Strong quantitative analysis experience with Tableau, R, SPSS or similar applications

  • A passion for educational measurement and research

  • A positive, proactive, team player attitude

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL
