Education Work Study About the Organization Mars Hill University is a private, four-year liberal arts institution located in the mountains of western North Carolina. Founded in 1856 by Baptist families of the region, it is the oldest institution of higher learning in western North Carolina on its original site. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: None

  • TIME REQUIREMENTS: 10 hours/week
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Work study students will either choose or be assigned a project.

    These projects will be based in and contribute to the field of Education. A list of projects will be provided. As a work study student you will choose one or more projects that you would like to be involved in.

    The project will have a department member overseeing it that you will receive instruction and direction from. When the project changes the person overseeing it may change - this gives each work study student an opportunity to try different projects as well as work with different department members.
