Job Title: Education Technologist

Reports To: Director of Online Education

Job Type: This is a full time, exempt position.

General Description:

The Educational Technology Specialist will assist the faculty in integrating appropriate and innovative technologies to support, enhance, and extend learning in the learning management system. The Educational Technology Specialist reports to the Director of Online Education and is a full-time exempt employee.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide learning management system guidance, expertise and support for faculty and students.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to design, develop, and deliver learning management system initiatives that align with the mission of the school and the needs of the classroom.

  • Support the learning management system through daily advising, collaborating, and training of faculty and staff.

  • Assist the Online and School Directors in administering and fully utilizing the school's learning management system and other digital content management systems.

  • Provide support for educational technology devices, systems, data integrations and content.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness and sustainability of current and future uses of the learning management system.

  • In partnership with the Online and School Directors, research and propose new ways to enhance teaching and learning, promote innovation, and foster purposeful, meaningful, and creative integration of technology.

  • Function as a liaison with Online and School Directors and Academic Affairs Coordinators to ensure seamless coordination of technology tools supporting curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Effective verbal and written communications skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Adherence to the highest level of professionalism by demonstrating honesty, integrity, and maturity

Work Schedule:

This is a 40-hour per week, 12-month position with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
