WHAT THIS ROLE ENTAILS:

  • Delivering quality enrichment programs for children using internally crafted Disguised Learning curriculum
  • Developing and coaching a team who are passionate about providing a safe, fun, engaging environment (check out here what our staff are saying about the role)
  • Working closely with principals and school staff to enhance the instructional experience
  • Instilling the Right At School footprint by participating in local community events (Back to School, Right Club gives back, Field Day, and more!)
  • Manage and maintain safety standards including supervision and program paperwork

Requirements

  • Passion about our mission and story!
  • Prior experience supervising others
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs
  • Communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children
  • Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community
  • Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn
  • High school diploma or GED completed
  • Coursework or training in child development and/or related field

What you'll be responsible for: Circle is looking for a highly capable and motivated Tax Manager, to support the tax accounting, tax compliance and international tax needs of our rapidly growing operations. This role will involve interaction with teams across several functions including compliance, legal and product as well as the greater finance team. You will play a key role working on core tax compliance and tax accounting activities while supporting a business that is on the cutting edge of digital payments and blockchain technology. What you'll work on: * Support preparation of consolidated and legal entity tax provisions and financial statement footnotes on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. * Support the preparation and review of annual US federal and state tax compliance and filing of tax returns. * Work closely with outside tax advisors to manage information requests and support key tax compliance processes. * Work cross functionally with other members of the broader finance team and teams across the Company to deliver key projects, processes and initiatives. * Review tax related journal entries for monthly, quarterly and annual closes. * Support inputs to the international tax compliance and tax accounting process. * Support the maintenance of transfer pricing model and supporting documentation including preparations of local transfer reports and master files where applicable. * Research and support tax implications and planning for new product launches, tax changes related to cryptocurrency and transactional activity for the consolidated group. * Prepare tax memos to document and update tax positions of the company. * Research and stay current on changes to US and international tax legislation and help to communicate and plan for tax risks and implications to other parts of the Company. What you'll bring to Circle: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. * Knowledge of US tax regulations and US GAAP requirements of ASC 740. * 7+ years of experience, ideally from a Big 4 background and with direct tax experience working in industry. * Direct experience with preparation and review of tax provisions for project managing tax compliance. * CPA or post graduate tax qualification is highly desirable. * Organized, detailed, proactive, self-motivated, collaborative. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Proven ability to work cross functionally and adapt to change are extremely important. * Ability to prioritize workloads and ensure tasks are completed on time. * High integrity and ability to handle confidential information. * Experience/familiarity with cloud accounting systems, Bloomberg tax, Slack, Mac OSX and GSuite We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at Circle.
