HCA Graduate Medical Education is one of the nation's largest providers of residency and fellowship training programs across the nation. With more than 203 programs across 21 specialties and 43 hospitals, HCA GME is building a leading network of innovative, patient-centered graduate medical education programs. We believe graduate medical education is much more than medical training. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of physicians to care for and improve human life by focusing on patient-centered approaches to practicing the latest evidence-based medicine. HCA hospitals currently train more than 2,650 residents and fellows with that number growing to 5,500 by 2020.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Education Coordinator will be responsible for designing, develop and delivering intuitive, engaging and impactful learning materials, across a variety of learning mediums. The Education Developer is expected to be a highly creative and innovative to imagine and create training videos, games, job aids, leader guides, ILT materials, PowerPoint presentations and e-learning deliverables.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Collaborate with curriculum workgroups and subject matter experts in all phases of the learning framework (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation), to think creatively to produce and recommend new concepts and ideas.
Develop and/or edit a variety of training related content: blogs, articles, alerts, bulletins, web copy, intranet content, manuals, presentations, job aids, e-learning, etc.
Work with functional and technical subject matter experts to translate knowledge and processes into course content that support skills training and knowledge application
Update/Maintain Learning website(s) with latest documentation (information, process changes, etc.)
Use training templates, standards and guidelines, and common methodology as defined by the Training Team, to ensure consistent deliverables across audiences and modules
Ensure training is innovative, engaging and on the cutting edge of training technology.
HIGHLY PREFERRED EXPERIEINCE
Familiarity with professionally accepted standards of evidence-based medical writing and educational content development
Previous experience in healthcare related education environment
Previous experience with administration and management of a LMS
Previous experience in the use of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, 3D Studio, Director, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Articulate Storyline, Captivate, DocuTools, etc.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program providing training in a related field and a minimum of 5 years related experience.
