Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered. MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • Must have least two (2) years of experience serving as a facility local point of contact and technical expert for all computer (basic knowledge of information technology), audiovisual and lighting requirements for events and training • Minimum two (2) years of experience serving as a facility local point of contact and technical expert for all computer, audiovisual and lighting requirements for events and training. • Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience. • Minimum two (2) years of experience assisting with scheduling and conducting Satellite Broadcast Courses • Knowledge of common military protocol practices, procedures, regulations, precedents, and guidelines. • Knowledge of basic methods and procedures for operating a variety of basic computer systems and audiovisual equipment for conference/training/classroom presentations. • Knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices technical equipment, classroom scheduling, facility management, equipment management and management information systems/audio visual equipment. • Knowledge of basic methods and procedures for operating a variety of basic computer systems and audio-visual equipment for conference/training/classroom presentations. • Skills to assist, troubleshoot and instruct individuals with varying skill levels on classroom/ technology set up and usage of equipment. • Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze program information, draw conclusions, and devise solutions to meet mission objectives or resolve problems. • Must demonstrate financial and operational management skills. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Must be able to pass a background check. POSITION OVERVIEW • responsible for day-to-day facility operations at Vandenberg Education and Training Services Facility.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, instructing, and assisting individuals with varying skill levels with classroom technology set up, usage and equipment/technology safety • work with various entities as focal point responsible for gathering, assembling, and analyzing program information. From analysis, ability to draw conclusions, and devise solutions to meet mission objectives or resolve problems is expected. Ability to document and communicate factual and procedural information clearly. • Serves as facility focal point and technical expert for all computer, audiovisual, and lighting requirements for events and training held at the Vandenberg SFB Conference and Event Center located under the Force Development Flight of the 30th Force Support Squadron.

Ensures presentations are functioning properly prior to event. Maintains an effective liaison with the various classroom, auditorium, testing room users to facilitate systems planning, application, and problem resolution. • Plans, organizes, and directs the daily activities of the Vandenberg Education and Training Building, ensuring that operations meet customer needs, and plans required to effectively meet the education and training center’s goals and objectives. • Acts as a focal point for classroom scheduling, classroom usage agreements, classroom management, printing/displaying daily signs and classroom/system user issues. Plans and schedules work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution.

Utilizes Smartsheet Database to capture, approve/disapprove, respond to all room requests. • Identifies requirements and initiates requests for necessary resources including personnel, equipment, supplies, and space to ensure success in meeting goals and objectives. • Plans and directs support of high-level events hosted by the Space Launch Delta 30 units, Space Systems Command (SSC), multiple mission-partner units, and outside Federal, State, and Local Agencies. Scope of programs span a wide spectrum of local meetings to highlevel DoD functions. Coordinates issues involving complex functions with interrelated programs in the wing and with outside organizations.

Utilizes Smartsheet Database to capture, approve/disapprove, respond to all room requests. • Creates and analyzes data using spreadsheets, charts, and other information to measure facility/equipment usage and effectively manage resources. Briefs the Flight Chief, Force Development on results as needed to enhance future facility goals and objectives to meet customer needs and maintain a state-of-the-art education and training center. Makes recommendations to the Flight Chief for continuous upgrade and expansion of education and training center capabilities to ensure state of the art equipment operations are available to users. • Conducts pre-planning or pre-training meetings with key customers and coordinating officials to schedule classroom(s) and explain options.

Works with customer to ensure successful events/training through efficient use of space and effective use of a wide range of capabilities. • Provides overall management of the Vandenberg SFB Conference and Event Center located within the Base Education and Training Building and internal property to include furnishings, furniture, equipment, and computers. • Ensures proper building maintenance, and serviceability of all furniture and equipment. Maintain and update the Base Equipment Control Officer (BECO) electronic spreadsheet, including building number, room number, description, serial number, and model number for all classroom and testing room equipment, to include but not limited to, desktops, laptops, projectors, smartboard equipment, multi-media display boards, and printers. Provides current and accurate spreadsheet electronically to Flight Chief, Force Development and/or E&TSC upon request. • Ensures facility cleanliness standards are met.

Turn in unused and unserviceable equipment, clearing it from electronic spreadsheet. Perform annual and change-of-custodian equipment inventories and have them endorsed by the Commander. Initiate Report of Survey for Commander if equipment is missing. • Serves as the administrator for Facilities Management.

Plans, organizes, and directs the continuous maintenance and warranty issues involved with the education and training center. • Responsible for preparing all necessary correspondence and forms and maintaining related records and logs required to support all aspects of job tasks • Ensures effective space utilization, proper operation, repair, and maintenance of the Base Education & Training facility and classrooms, maintaining professional appearance of facility interior, exterior and resource protection. Evaluates the condition of the facility components (e.g., buildings, grounds). Regularly inspects/surveys the interior/exterior to identify deficiencies. • Coordinates with Civil Engineers and outside Contractors as needed for all maintenance and preventive maintenance that cannot be accomplished in-house. Requests through Civil Engineering repairs, and modifications via work orders in coordination with Flight Chief to eliminate interruptions to the mission. • Serves as Primary ITEC for all IT resources in the Center and conducts physical inventories of assigned items and maintains operational security of IT and other audiovisual and lighting equipment.

Identifies, corrects (if possible) or obtains external support for resolvingcomputer, audiovisual, and lighting issues. Evaluates all audiovisual, computer, and lighting equipment for replacement or repair. Researches, prepares documentation, and procures replacement equipment as needed through squadron/wing funding.

Log on and restart all 65 computers once a week. • Performs daily inspection of working conditions of all classroom technology i.e., computers, internet access, projectors, smart board technology, TV's, DVD players, etc. Researches and provides recommendations for updating or replacing aging equipment, to include detailed product specification and assisting office purchase card holder with identifying and ordering compatible equipment. • Assists in managing appropriate database of all IT requests, troubleshooting, projects, etc. which includes total time worked on each case and the resolution. Identifies and resolves network related problems occurring within the assigned area of responsibility.

Responds to customer requests for assistance, ensuring trouble reports are handled expeditiously. Troubleshoots daily classroom/satellite hardware and operating systems use. • Establish and maintain electronic Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS)/Work Order Management System (WOMS)/NEXGEN account to submit work orders for installation, movement, or upgrade of telephones. Act as Education and Training Center liaison to the base Com Focal Point (CFP) if/when phone repairs are needed. • Facility Manager will perform their duties in all base exercises as well as real world events. • Facility managers are responsible for periodically inspecting their facilities for potential safety hazards and reporting them to the proper agencies. Utilize AFI 91-203, Air Force Consolidated Occupational Safety Instruction, to ensure that all safety requirements are being met.
