Education and Training Media/Technology Developer, Mid

Key Role:

Support the Air Force Culture and Language Center (AFCLC) with any or all curriculum media technology needs at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, AL. Design, prepare, and maintain a variety of products that supports the client and its programs and may be incorporated into the client's in-residence, distance learning, and blended learning courses required for the civilian, enlisted, and officer education continua and courses required for expeditionary Airmen. Identify and develop media and related technology solutions to meet education needs or fill instructional gaps, including voice-centered technologies, such as compact disc (CD), Web casts, instructional videos, digital video disc (DVD), interactive videoconferencing, virtual classroom environment delivered over the Internet or intranet, and mobile applications, using some combination of video, audio, computer animation, multimedia, and communications. Develop and produce educational products, including print, ebook, audio, audiovisual, multimedia, Web, or other format products and integrate existing materials into other educational media, such as in-residence to distance or blended learning. Leverage the use of Microsoft Access or related applications to collect, track, analyze, and report student performance data in courses delivered by the AFCLC.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with identifying and developing media and related technology solutions to meet education and training needs

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint at an expert level

  • Experience with developing methods to collect, track, analyze, and report student performance data

  • Experience with importing data into Microsoft Access databases

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Canvas Learning Management System

  • Experience with using eLearning content development tools, including Adobe Captivate and SoftChalk

  • Experience in working with adult learners in a professional setting

  • Knowledge of Air Force education and training policies and processes

  • BA or BS degree in Education or a related field

Assists in the preparation of proposals and specifications for the construction of engineering projects and in checking contracts and estimates for completeness and accuracy. Maintains the correspondence and personal contact necessary to accomplish and document all the duties listed above. Reviews or examines work of subordinates for quality and accuracy. Performs related or similar duties as required or assigned. Minimum Qualifications:These minimum qualifications have been agreed upon by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in this job class and are based upon a job analysis and the essential functions.
