THIS POSITION WILL ACT AS A LEAD CONSULT FOR THE DIVISION

Education and Experience: Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and experience equivalent to substantial (five or more years of) full-time professional educational or instructional work, including at least two years of supervisory/administrative or advisory work.

Substitution of Education for Experience: Graduate coursework from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years, there being no substitution for the required two years of specialized experience.

OR

One year of experience as an Education Consultant 2 with the State of Tennessee.

Summary:
Under direction, is responsible for administrative and consultative work of considerable difficulty and supervisory work of average difficulty in supervising the activities of subordinate professional staff engaged in developing, interpreting, and providing technical assistance in implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines for the administration of large and complex statewide educational programs or for directing a major education initiative under the direction of the commissioner of the appointing agency or the State Board of Education; performs related work as required.

Distinguishing Features: An employee in this class is responsible for developing and administering complex statewide education programs and may supervise subordinate professional consultants. This class differs from that of Educ Consultant 2 in that incumbents of the latter plan and develop policies, procedures, and guidelines for directing a major education initiative under the direction of the commissioner of the appointing agency or the state board of education; performs related work as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following . Other duties may be assigned. Reviews workflow dashboards and AR aging reports with the PPS AR Analysts to identify trends in Key Indicators that impact the clinics financial performance Identifies researches and rectifies any circumstances affecting delayed submission of insurance accounts or payment of accounts; Provides feedback / education to PPS AR Analysts to prevent reoccurrence of these issues. Identifies researches and rectifies claim mapping issues in Athena Collector. Identifies researches and rectifies claim in MGRHOLDS that involve provider numbers, or taxonomy issues. NPI Rep coordinates with Provider Enrollment to keep appropriate staff up to date on credentialing issues and status. NPI Rep manages all enrollments with Rail Road Medicare. Ability to conduct “root cause” analysis as a result of trends within the key performance indicators Maintains current knowledge base of all Federal and state billing regulations and guidelines Demonstrates a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions with clinic employees, corporate personnel, and other associates Identifies opportunities for improvement within the clinic operations as well as CBO work flow processes Prepares and reviews reports/ documents with appropriate staff as required Demonstrates ability to identify issues outside work flow process and escalates them when necessary Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual will demonstrate the following competencies: Analytical - Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to compliment data.
