LOP Solutions, LLC. is seeking a hands-on copy editor who is ready to have access to millions of readers in a fast-growing news publishing business. We have several branded websites with daily content and circulation into the millions. We are expanding and we need your help delivering quality content to our subscriber base.

Many of our websites cater to right leaning conservatives with political news. We also have other sites that cater to gun owners and enthusiasts. If these topics offend you, or if you'd have a problem writing and editing engaging content targeted towards these readers this position is probably not for you.

Duties:
1. Researching and writing content articles with topics ranging from financial, alternative health, firearms, and conservative political news. If you are not interested in writing about these topics then do not apply.
2. Proofreading and grammatical editing required.
3. The ability to work independently while managing a team from home.

4. Manage a team of freelance writers while holding them to crucial deadlines.
5. Find appropriate images to complement and add to articles.

Qualifications:
1. 4 year degree in Journalism, English, Creative Writing or Communications is preferred.
2. Experience in writing articles required, examples will be requested.
3. Must have outstanding grammatical skills.

Requirements



Requirements:

1. Work from 8:30am to 5:30pm from home, Monday through Friday.
2. Requires prolonged computer/keyboard use.

3. Must be able to communicate efficiently via email and phone with other staff members.

4. Must be a self-starter that meets deadlines on a daily basis.

5. Must be proficient using web based applications

6. Knowledge in WriterAccess, Elance, and other freelance writing tools a plus.
7. Experience writing in conservative news, alternative health or financial news is preferred.
8. Must be able to come up with new story ideas on a daily basis, compelling subjects and turning what may be an ordinary news story into an extraordinary news article.

Benefits

Compensation:
1. This is a remote job, the daily work hours are from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday through Friday.
2. This position is full-time and your required hours will be 8.30 am to 5.30 pm. There will be a lunch break for one hour to be taken between 12pm 2pm. This is equivalent to a 40 hour working week.
3. Wages are to be paid on a bi-weekly basis.

4. 5 PTO days will be paid leave. This will commence 90 days after the first working day. 11 paid holidays are also provided after 90 days.

5. Starting pay is based on experience.

Non-Smoking This position consists of professional, technical, and administrative engineering project management work for the City of Delray Beach Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Work is performed under the direction of the Assistant Public Works Director. Essential Job Duties Essential Functions and Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned. * Ensures budget and schedules stay on track through demonstrating strong, tactful communication skills with project managers and management team. * Minimizes Change Orders by performing thorough preparation of contracts and utilizing strong negotiation strategies with consultants and contractors. * Manages the CIP by collaborating with all City departments, preparing budget documentation and presenting needs to management team and Commissioners. Prepares and gives presentations at various forums such as commission, town and staff meetings. * Performs professional duties related to planning, coordinating, managing, and implementation of Capital Improvement Projects. * Manages information regarding CIP projects from conceptual ideas through construction and warranty periods in the categories of buildings, streets, utilities, trails, drainage, recreation, and parks facilities. * Communicates status and needs for keeping CIP on track. Keeps CIP project lists, spreadsheets and files up to date. * Serves as liaison with other departments and agencies with respect to projects assigned. * Develops project scope, work plans, and resource allocations; selects professional engineering consultants; evaluates existing operations; and prepares engineering solutions which include economic, environmental, and community impacts. * Develops project implementation strategies and schedules; oversees the preparation of engineering, architecture and landscape architecture specifications and bid documents; coordinates internal and external reviews and permits; estimates construction costs; and monitors and tracks project budgets. * Writes the scope of work for requests for proposals, requests for qualifications, and invitations to bid, as well as change orders and amendments to consulting agreements and memorandums to City Commission. * Depending upon area of assignment, supervises the work of consultants including designers, project engineers, junior project managers, inspectors and contractors to assure compliance with City standards and specifications. * Assists in resolving problems with contractors/consultants and negotiates settlements in disputes regarding contracted work. * Presents information to City Commission and various City Advisory Boards regarding CIP. * Assists in the development of CIP goals, policies, and annual work program using information about the City's infrastructure and its overall relationship to the City of Delray Beach Comprehensive Plan. * Ensures compliance with the City's codes, specifications and standards; and federal and state environmental rules as related to area of assignment. * Reads and interprets guidelines, maps, plats, site plans, landscape plans, trail plans, grading plans, irrigation plans, and other plans to develop engineering scopes and design plans. RELATED TASKS: Assures effective and efficient use of budgeted funds, personnel, materials, and time. Evaluates service costs and make related recommendations. Identifies and recommends improvements in divisional and departmental operations to ensure support functions are efficient and cost effective. Responsible for the safety of self, others, materials and equipment and ensures the proper use of all safety equipment. Performs related tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering, architecture or construction-related field and the possession of a valid Florida Professional Engineer's License or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Florida Building Contractor * or General Contractor's license and six (6) years of progressively responsible professional project management experience in the design, installation, management, and construction of projects including utility, roadway, building, and park projects valuing over $1 million annually. * Two years of supervisory experience. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
